📋 Rental Terms Overview

🛡️ Insurance

The rental price includes full insurance, excluding:

• ❌ Tires

• ❌ Undercarriage damage

• ❌ River crossings

🆘 Breakdowns & Towing

• 📍 In Keflavík and Reykjavík: towing is free of charge

• 🌍 Outside Reykjavík: towing costs 220 ISK per kilometer

👤 Drivers

• Only the person listed in the rental agreement is allowed to drive the vehicle.

🛠️ Maintenance

• We cover basic maintenance: tires, wiper blades, and light bulbs.

• If the car breaks down, we’ll provide a replacement vehicle.

⚠️ Renter Responsibility

The renter is financially responsible if:

• 🔋 The battery is drained due to negligence

• ⛽ The wrong type of fuel is used

• 🍻 An accident occurs under the influence of alcohol

🛢️ Renter Duties

• Monitor oil levels regularly

• Bring the car in for scheduled service/checkups

📆 Rental Period Changes

• 🗓️ May to September (summer season): ICEPOL may terminate the rental agreement with 1 day's notice

• ❌ Outside the summer season: The renter may end the contract early, but no refunds will be issued for unused days
